# How to Set Up a Payment Plan as an Individual with the IRS

Go to https://www.irs.gov/payments/online-payment-agreement-application
[https://www.irs.gov/payments/online-payment-agreement-application] and click
Apply/Revise as an individual



Once you log into your ID.me and get to your dashboard you should see the
payments section. Click on the link for "VIEW PAYMENT OPTIONS" directly under
the "Make a payment" button







The Payment Options screen should open up and you're going to click the CREATE A
PAYMENT PLAN button under the Create a Pre-Assessed Payment Plan section





You'll need the exact amount you owe





If you're eligible to move forward with this route the system will tell you. If
not you'll need to use the contact options they provide to speak with an IRS
representative
